I've been busy with school and work that I've neglected so many things, including this blog. Working on finishing up or rather trying to start and finish a "photo journal" that is inspired by Peter for a future project .Where as a bunch of artists and I thought a bunch was maybe no more then 10.But it turns out to be about 100. So 100 artist journals, chronicling their month. To be shown soon will keep you posted. I thought I would look through Peter's journals for inspiration , more from the layout point of view then from actual content.
Work seems to pass faster if I some how have some stand up comdey playing in the background.I think those who sit outside my office think I have gone mad.I let out fits of laughter behind closed doors. If anyone knows of any funny guys let me know.I'm running out of comedians.

Something a little cheesy, I was watching the news this last week.More hurricane stuff.They were interviewing peole about all their belongings they lost. Every person said the same thing. That if they had a chance the one thing they would have grabbed" was their photographs". It made me realize that there is an importance for what I love to do.
Oh Kate, why must you be one of the cliche beautiful people.Do you find it ironic that the girl who made "heroin chic" popular was busted. I find it almost tragic that almsot everyone in this industry lives this "lifestyle" yet they all claim shock when reading this.Come on people! we all know those models stay skinny by just doing yoga, yeah right
My neighbors are scientologists..I think there a bit mad/crazy but not as bad as this ! Never the less we are extending our fence another 3 feet.Someday they might start throwing over dianetics books.

Network For Good -- A nonprofit organization that has a page on its site devoted to listing different types of groups to whom you can donate besides the Red Cross -- including the Louisiana Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (rescuing pets), Charity Hospital of New Orleans, Salvation Army, and Operation Blessing.
Storm Aid - run by Clear Channel in conjunction with the Red Cross.
Feed The Children - An international nonprofit organization.
Mercy Corps -- Formerly refugee-focused organization that now focuses on helping find long-term solutions for families living in poverty.
Hurricane Housing -- This is a housing clearinghouse trying to match people made homeless by the storm with available beds and rooms and couches located within 300-500 miles of the Gulf Coast.
The Chicago Tribune's McCormick Foundation -- This group is matching 50 percent of each dollar of donations made through their site (up to two million dollars). All donations go directly to hurricane relief organizations.

Our local chapter of the Red Cross is up to capacity with donations and has asked that funds be sent to the St. Vincent De Paul Dining Room. These folks are working overtime to feed the thousands of people taking refuge in the capital, and I'm sure donations would be much appreciated. Unfortunately everything must be snail-mailed, but the contact information is located online."
A reader in Southern Minnesota tells us that some local branches of the Great Harvest Bread Co. are donating all of Saturday's proceeds to hurricane relief; she suggests you contact your local branch to see if they, too, are participating.
Whole Foods Market -- Apparently you can buy donation coupons at the chain's stores, and Whole Foods will apparently match these donations up to $1 million. Proceeds go to the American Red Cross. Click the link for more information. The supermarket is also implementing a job relocation plan for people who worked in its damaged locations.
Brett Favre: Hot And Socially Conscious: New Orleans has been the focus of most of the stories, but other regions have been blown away and left in ruins. Favre, the Green Bay Packers quarterback, is a Mississippi native whose Fourward Foundation is taking donations for the victims. Click the link to find out how to contribute.
