I'm back from London and am suffering from Jetlag and allergies at the moment.Along with a total lack of sleep due to the fact that my little bird hasnt adjusted back to LA time yet.So most of my nights for the last 3 days have been nothing but a blur of pleading to get her to go back to sleep.
London was great, even with the whole inlaw thing.
Wasnt able to get out as much as I wanted but did see a few exhibitions
including Rachel Whiteread's Unilever
My partner mentioned how it reminded him of my children's book about how instead of the toothfairy it's actually Mice that collect the childrens teeth and they use it to build great big Mice cities. Yes, I write very scary stories for children, I know. But it seemed like a great idea too me.And seeing how the children loved the cubes I would say I might have a good idea after all.
Also picked up so many books here that I almost had to get another suitcase for my return.
Took the runt to KEW gardens and brainstormed ideas with H. for our future group show "In Clover" taking place in Portland in a few months. All SWI doing. He's brave enough to organize an outside show.
I've finally figured out what I will be doing for Lucky Dip.Now I just have to learn to sew and learn very quickly.
H. sold his painting,so I'm very proud of him and I hope he continues to paint more.I'm his biggest fan!
So here's my big brag..Everyone rush out in a few weeks and get the Mother's day issue of The New Yorker. My good friend CG called to inform me that the cover was inspired by me and the runt or as he likes to call her the tick. He wouldnt say what the cover is just that it's of her and inspired by us. So we'll see.He promised me it wasnt going to be mean but I never knwo with him.Hopefully after this brag he wont get bumped. That would suck and be slightly embarassing.
This was just a quick check in,I have a ton to catch up on before i get back to regular posts...oh yeah I'm supposed to post a self portrait today..
no time to spell check, sorry
