I've been without a good interent connection for most of my travels. So I've been storing up thoughts and writings and posts about the trip. I'm almost home, soon enough I will be in my own soft warm bed. You have no idea how nice that sounds to me right now.I've filled up 2 memory cards worth of photos and relaized I never downloaded the new software to my computer from my new shiny digital camera i got for christmas. So I have to wait till I'm home and settled in before I begin to post them
(if I even do).
I've spent this last week really cramming myself into as many exhibitions as I could.I've compiled a huge list of artists that I liked, will keep an eye on, discovered and even purchased..
If all goes well I'll be home next week. Although teh airline I fly out on has decided to strike the day I leave and well the weather has decided to turn from rain to snow,So maybe I wont make it back after all.
One more month till the gallery opens with new paint a new wall and a years worth of artist to admire, promote and fawn over..
Here is a partial list of who I saw at the Lodnon Art Fair..the ones I liked anyway..I leave you to google them and discover..
Peter Blake
Gro Throsen
Buce Mclean
Craigie Aitchison
Andrew Vass
Storm Thorgerson
just a few to keepyou going.
Also if must one recommend a place to wake up to on a snowy day.I would say Le Manor Hotel in Oxford is as good as any, especially after a 5 course meal, eating what is some of the best food and drinking some amazing wine, all dressed up in your fancy kit.
(so says all the writings about the place and all the fancy stars next to the name and list of rewards and oh yeah...the price tag, yikes)
