Pretty Crap

I've been pretty crap about posting this last month or two. Now that I'm in somewhat of a routine
with the gallery and new nanny,I will be able to post again. If only I had anything to say,ha!

The first month of the gallery sored by. A little quicker then I thought it would be. As I sit here and prepare for the next opening I can say that I feel ok about it,after one month.
In May I have 2 openings andI think the level of stress has risen slightly but I know that it is not going to be like this every month.Focusing on one artist at a time is what I look forawrd too.
I suppose this blog coudl turn into a sort of journal of my first year as a galley owner/curator/slow decent into madness of the LA art scene.

The first thing to report,is you will not believe how many people are "artists" I get on a daily basis people coming in and tossing that out in the conversation while they look at the current show. I just nod my head and ask questions.Most never get around to asking about submissions.They just stand there after proclaiming how good they are.Like I should stop what I am doing and beg for a show from them. The ones who are interested ask what they need to do. Or they usually come back again,maybe stop in while they eat lunch in the area. They make sure I remember their face .Let's see if any show up for the openings ,get to know the gallery what we're about...then submit. I take them more seriously.They are checking me out as much as I am checking them out.
We'll see, until the next post. Which will be after the opening May 1st. have a look at what 's to come.If you're in the area or know people,stop by,say hello..
