Sneak Peaks

I'm trying to find the before pictures.

So until I do I'm just gonna show a few sneak peaks.

The art is still not on the walls and a few key furniture pieces are missing.

However, the painting is finally over.

Now it's all about decorating.

the inspiration for the kitchen is based on this print and those shelfs.

This house thing is taking forever.

The bathroom,living room, dining room are now done.

Just need to hang art on walls and sweep floor.

Bummer wave..need to have custom blinds made for front window.

For now using curtains just so people can't see us at night.

Disliking the curtains though.

Check back in a few days or next week when i start posting before and after photos.

Still searching for this chair. 

I'm convinced I can find a used one somewhere .

I don't want to pay full price just yet.

I also like this couch for some reason,I don't think H. does though.

book lovin'

Reading list for this month includes but not limited too: 

 The Wicked Pavilion by Dawn Powell, for book club.

Walking The Dead Volume 4 & 5, for fun and my love of zombies

2666. I've been reading this every since i heard about it on NPR.

I found the edition that had all 3 books in trade ,instead of lugging around the hardbacks.

I'm really looking forward to cracking this open.Most likely at end of the month.

found a signed copy of Auster's book for cheap so i picked it up.Even though thisis a bad review 

it's such a short book that I read and judge for myself.

Re-reading Nicholson Baker's The Fermata,best porn book ever

Also picked up City of Thieves just based on the cover art..i know lame.

side note: listening to new Clem snide Hungry Bird.It's taking me a few listens to get into.

House is being painted,then i can finish "decorating"

H. leaves me and G. for a week starting Monday.

This will be the longest he's been away from G.

He'll be doing a walking trip along the England Country side with his brothers.

Who are also having new kids in a few months.

This is the brothers bonding trip, not that they need to bond.

They are the most bonded family i know.

They will be out of reach for 4 days..

hope i don't go into pre-labor while he's away.

oh ! what have we done?

What was supposed to be a week long project of doing the kids room has now turne dinto a month long house project.

We were just supposed to redo the kids rooms and then paint the bathroom a bit.

Fix up the house a little to make it feel "new" all over.

If you could see the state it's in now, you'd think we were either just moving in or one of those house problem people that has to go onto the jerry springer show to get a makeover.

To make it all worse...H. leaves me alone next in a week.

With a not even half finished house, 3 year old who needs constant games and imaginary friends and 8 month preggers..

To Do list:

kids room

paint bathroom

paint kitchen including cabinets

paint living room

paint dining room

paint studio

reorganize all closets and cabinets

studio will now be redone to reflect 2 works spaces and now a kids play  room.

then there is the new shelfs need to be installed

and the new shelfs and cabinets space and desk that has to be built for kitchen.

Which requires me to find someone,not much luck so far.

All the drawers have been cleaned out 

all the art is off the walls and all the bathroom has been cleared

there seems to be a ton of stuff taken to good will daily...but things are in a state of chaos..

we can't decide on color for kitchen...

One of the greatest movies of my youth.

I think I might be in for a long day

I am officially starting the process of turning my daughters

chaotic mess of a room into a room that will in a few months (2)

fit two kids. Not just two kids but a 3 year old girl and a newborn baby boy.

I'm trying to make it 2 individual spaces.

I have no idea what personality Baby Bim* will have but I do

know the feisty personality of my daughter..

So here are the before photos. Please note this is the end of week messy room.

It's not always like this,oh who am I kidding, yes it is.

I have no idea how this will turn out and I don't really have any big plans.

Other then clean ,clean, clean.

*Bim is the nickname we've given the womb wiggler.

Bim was the name of the red little jackass animal H. had as a kid.

Reading :

In The Woods  Which is quite a difficult book when you have a 3 year old and are expecting.

I mean who wants to read about child murders?

A Home Made Life   I was just about to buy this and received it in the mail as a b-day gift from my sister in law. This is one of those books that i read about on so many crafty/food blogs that i finally broke down and added it to my wishlist. I have hopes this will turn me into a crafty/food person .

The Walking Dead volume #1  My love for zombies doesn't end with movies. I buy all my comics here. They haven't failed me yet when it comes to recommendations, Dave turned me onto  Kick Ass.I had forgot all about this series. I had issue #1 lost it and never gotten around to finish it. Now they're all in nice little volumes for me. I expect a load of zombies in my future.

Here is something I wanna get ASAP. The film i guess is out..searching for it.

Lovely bit of animation from one of my favorite children's book. Not to mention the soundtrack sounds pretty great.

The full contents of the gallery has been moved into my back studio,it's chaos,it's depressing.

All i want to do is get rid of everything ,repaint and start over.

Which seems like a good idea but not when you're 7 months pregnant and all you can do is waddle around.
